From DIY to done properly: a wedding supplier rebrand

If you're a wedding supplier who built your own branding when you were starting out, this one's for you.
A celebrant brand refresh case study

The before
Reena is a Manchester based celebrant, experienced in crafting ceremonies as unique as the people she works with. But her homemade branding wasn't quite telling that story.
When starting her business, Reena had built everything herself and felt very attached to it, which is completely understandable.
The problem was it wasn't fully conveying her warm personality or attracting the clients she truly deserves, and as Reena was growing her business the brand wasn’t able to scale with her.
Our brief
To craft branding that felt warm, personal, and professional, reflecting Reena’s values without losing her voice.
To develop an updated visual identity that accurately explains Reena’s services and builds trust in her expertise, leading to more ceremony bookings and continued business growth.

Our approach
We started with going back to the basics - we held a workshop with Reena to re-look at how she positioned her service offerings. We helped her establish a new way of presenting the three types of services she offers, deciding to reposition them in 3 different categories (ceremonies for couples, for families, and for celebrations of life) and establishing how she wanted to come across to her customers.

Setting the foundations
We were keen to keep the essence of Reena’s original DIY branding that felt so personal to her, and instead refine and develop it into a new version that was usable, legible, and reproduceable.
We kept the circle of life symbolism of her existing logo that she was attached to and reworked it to increase the legibility before developing the brand typography, patterns, and colour palette (with gentle encouragement to push the brand palette further so it really reflected her vibrant personality) to create a brand that finally felt like her.
With Reena's input involved at every stage, I crafted the refreshed visual identity, then applied her new brand to a warm and welcoming updated website so that it now represents her work and easily explains her services, giving people the confidence to get in touch.

Building trust & growing confidence
We crafted marketing materials she's now genuinely proud to hand over, and helped her prepare for her first experience exhibiting at a wedding fair, giving her the confidence to show up knowing her stand looked as professional and welcoming as she is.
The rebrand result? A refreshed brand that truly shows her real personality, explaining why her clients would trust her with something as intimate and personal as a wedding or funeral ceremony, so she can focus on doing what she does best.

“When I first approached her about my website and branding, I'll admit I was hesitant. I'd built everything myself and felt quite attached to it. But Andrea took the time to really get to know me, my values, and what I wanted my celebrant business to represent. She asked thoughtful questions, listened carefully, and gently helped me see that letting go of my DIY approach would allow my brand to truly shine. Her creative vision is exceptional. She transformed mywebsite and marketing materials into something that feels authentically me, but elevated and professional in a way I simply couldn't achieve on my own. The warmth and heart of my work now comes through beautifully in everything she's created. What I appreciated most was the trust she built throughout the process. Andrea never pushed or rushed me - she guided me with patience and genuine care, making sure I felt confident and excited about every decision. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and collaborative approach made the whole experience enjoyable rather than stressful.”

Wedding Supplier Rebrand
A wedding supplier rebrand isn't just a new logo, it's everything that helps you show up with confidence and attract the right clients.
A typical project like Reena’s includes:
Brand discovery - Research, positioning, creative guidance
Moodboards - Establishing a creative style
Branding concepts - Development of initial logo & brand styles
Brand development - Refining the brand direction
Roll out - Crafting branded items and applying the new identity to your website & marketing presence
Guidelines - Pulling all of the development together into a cohesive set of brand instructions
Continued support - Ongoing assistance so you know how to use your new brand
Every project is quoted individually as no two are ever exactly the same, and I only take on a limited number of projects at a time to really make sure everyone gets the attention they deserve.
